The purpose of the Data Steward / Data QA role is to partner with both the business and technical owners to establish and enforce data standards across the organization. As part of this role, you will also help update, maintain, and expand the Prevedere external data and client data databases.


What You Will Do:

  • Data Quality
  • Define and publish data quality SLA’s. Define algorithms and techniques for detecting issues with data quality.
  • Establish, publish, and implement data quality standards for all data loaded into the Prevedere database.
  • Design and build alerts, dashboards and reports that identify potential data issues, and prioritize remediation actions, including required process and system changes.
  • Research and document standard definitions for key data points and publish consistently across the organization
  • Data audit owner. Provide perspectives of data utilization across the organization


  • Data Management
  • Receive, cleanse, upload, and maintain custom data, including client data, into the Prevedere system.
  • Assess the quality, consistency, and accuracy of the data stored in a source database and develop recommendations for data cleaning, integrity, and standardization efforts
  • Maintaining consistency between public data stored in the Prevedere application and their sources.
  • Maintaining metadata, including data hierarchies in the Prevedere database.
  • Manage the systems/databases of our premium data partners.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on all things data related.
  • Cross functional
  • Act as a data liaison between Managed Services, Product, and the Development Team.
  • Work with the development team on the ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) process to move data from the source to the target system.
  • Partner with internal and external clients to identify their data needs and find solutions through additional data sources.


What You Will Bring:

  • A knowledge of modern databases and the technical ability to interact with them through queries and other code writing.
  • A proven track record of maintaining and improving the data quality on large data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience with automated data quality processing and techniques.
  • An understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT architecture.
  • Experience with automated monitoring and alerting techniques. Experience researching and remediation of potential issues is a must.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient with data quality algorithms and have experience querying SQL databases.
  • 5 years of experience in Data Quality Analysis, Data Governance and MDM.
  • 5 years of experience working with data scripting such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, etc. (SAS preferred).
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities in a dynamic business environment.
  • The ability to travel up to 10%.
